Clonmel Baptist Church

Prayer

In the Gospel of John chapters 15 and 17, we see the heart of Jesus for His Church. He calls us to abide in Him as the true Vine, reminding us that apart from Him we can do nothing. Fruitfulness does not flow from human effort or strategy, but from living union with Christ through faith. As a praying Church, our strength is found not in programs, but in remaining rooted in Him — trusting that His life and Spirit produce lasting fruit in and through us, for the glory of the Father. Jesus also prayed that we would love one another, be one, and be sanctified in the truth (John 17:17, 21). Through His Word, the Father sets us apart, and by the Spirit He transforms us into a holy and unified people. Our unity in truth is not merely inward fellowship, but a visible testimony so that the world may believe that the Father has sent the Son. Jesus prayed not only for His first disciples, but for all who would believe through their message. Redeemed by His finished work and sustained by His ongoing intercession, we are not merely recipients of grace but participants in His mission. As His Body, empowered by the Spirit and anchored in His Word, we proclaim reconciliation and hope — seeking above all that Christ would be glorified in His Church and in the world. Because prayer is central to this calling, we gather to seek the Lord together. In prayer, we abide in Christ, depend on His power, and align our hearts with His purposes. Whether in quiet reflection or corporate intercession, we come confidently to the Father through the Son, trusting that He works in ways seen and unseen for His eternal glory.

You're very welcome - no prior experience needed! Everything you need for the service, including the words of all the hymns and songs, will be on the screens, as well as on a service sheet you will be offered when you arrive. After our services we share refreshments together, which is a great chance to catch up, chat about what God is doing in our lives or has taught us in the service, and to make new friends.

Come in whatever clothes you feel comfortable wearing. Most of our congregation dress fairly casually on Sunday mornings but there are no hard and fast rules.

We have groups for children and young people up to age 14 at our 10am Sunday service - visitors and newcomers are always welcome, just head to the families, youth & children's stand as you come in to church.

There is level access into the church building and into the church centre. There are a limited number of designated disabled parking spaces. Our 10am service is currently at St Bede's school, which also has level access and disabled toilets.
